As I was present, and able to raid at the appropriate time could my Reserve be switched for a Rotated, as that was in the end the case. This so I do get the deserved attendance points.

I am affraid that's not the way system work or is intended... Reserve means "I am not sure if I will be able to come, but if I can, I will be there". So you did exactly this. From what I know, and been in the same situation as you few times, there is not change of status after or during or at the start of event for Reserves. - You either sign up 1,5 day before "properly", or you can change your status from Reserve to normal sign up by yoursely before the even start, but than you will be marked "Late Signup" which is appropriate description of your status in fact.
