About Vigilantes

Vigilantes was founded in November 2005, is one of the oldest guilds on Doomhammer and still going strong. Our goal is to have as much progress as possible without the pressure of raiding 5 or more evenings a week. However, this does not mean we take our raids lightly, we expect at least the same dedication as any other hardcore guild during those raid evenings so we can get the most out of them. This approach has worked during our TBC campaign and in WotLK, where we succeeded in killing almost all bosses on hard/heroic modes. With the new expansion - Cataclysm coming soon we won’t change this and will keep striving for better or at least the same progress.

What can you expect from us?
We field 2 types of raiding teams, All teams are relatively equal progression wise but offer different aspects. Our 1st team requires an attendance of at least 75% (3 out of 4 raids a week), our 2nd team (codenamed Vanilla) requires 50% attendance (2 out of 4 raids per week).

For our teams, the raiding days and times are found below

- Thursday 20:30-23:30 (can be extended to 24:00)
- Sunday 20:00-24:00
- Monday 20:30-23:30 (can be extended to 24:00)
- Tuesday 20:30-23:30 (can be extended to 24:00)

Next to our regular raid evenings we also put up events on every other day that everyone can sign up to (alts, guild social members). During all our raids we take a 10 minute break every 2 hours to keep the team sharp and fresh

Our Raid and/or Guild Council will spend a lot of extra time besides the raiding evenings to sort out tactics, analyse raid performance and handle day-to-day guild matters. We do all this in a friendly and social way and will keep doing this.

What do we expect from you:
Although we have a semi-hardcore schedule of raiding 4 evenings, we need to get the absolute most out of those evenings. Meaning we are very demanding during our raids and if you want to apply to us you need to take a moment to read our Guild Rules and Raiding Rules. Next to reading our rules we expect you to be prepared, motivated and striving for progress. Because we are striving for progress it goes without saying that we are searching for mature and very well skilled players that are able to analyse their own performance (not only your DPS!) and that can handle criticism when it is due. Communication is critical in raiding so you need to be able to read, write and understand English to a reasonable level so when we ask you something we know you understood us and can carry out those instructions.

Other things we expect are:

* Be sure about wanting to play this game. If you are accepted, the guild as a whole will invest time in gearing you up, and getting you ready for the next instance.
* Have PvE as your main priority. Skipping raids/being late to raids because your arena team needed 3 more games is unacceptable.
* Make the most of your class. Do the damage/healing you should, and look for ways to do better.
* Have TeamSpeak v3, for tanks it is a must you have a mic and can use it!
* Have a good connection to the WoW-servers and have a PC that’s not from 1991. We can’t have you in a raid if you keep disconnecting, keep crashing or keep doing whatever it is that makes it impossible for you to stay online during raids.
* You're a teamplayer, raiding is all about facing challanges as a team and give that bit extra for the team when it gets tough.
