Tbh I don't see what firefox offers that chrome doesn't, apart from the hundreds of useless toolbars at the top which clutter space...
Full html consortium compatibility.. as both a web developer and user it's the only important thing.... screw any addon and toolbar.... simple standards compliance
the main reason I always use chrome is the ease of searching, the web address bar doubles as a google search bar as standard
And you don't have a home page, you have a page that shows your favourite sites so you can boot it up and open up all your usual sites within a few seconds

If you still use a 28.8k my class would like a photo, so we can see the relic
You can actually use alot of search engines to IE, think there is some market place for it..
There isnt any real diffrence in the browsers anymore, they all have their perks. Only FF stands out with all the mods.
But IE wins in safty, think it was the one that took longest to hack last time at the hacker convention But then again with all the updates MS puts into it, there is like a million things to bypass. So in the end its all about preference.
w3c is a consortium of full time employees and associates from developers, universities and others that took in their hands the responsibilities to define a standard for html language to maintain compatibility among systems.
You cannot say "firefox sux because the site i use doesen't work, while with explorer it does", it is more correct to say, "firefox has requirements, explorer has other requirements, this site sux because it's done to work with one browser and not with another"
This consortium took the mayor browser's requirement and defined a standard for developers to use correctly html to make sites compatibles in 100% of the browsers.
It's up to programmers and web developers to choose a flat coding to keep cross browser compatibility, or using workarounds to use special features of each browser.
This worked for over 10 years. Then came Chrome.. and the standard flat coding become serving 99.xx% of brosers.. ONE doesn't accept standard features or use them in different way... totally out of standards, at start they claimed it was buggy because it was young. In the end they made their own standard, and developers have to be arsed making sites in 2 version again standard way.. and chrome way (it used to be like this over 10 years ago, when there was the war between explorer and netscape, which leaded to the w3c consortium formation).
i agree Tinu, when making a website, one of the main things to keep in mind is, does your site work with all the major browsers! i.e. IE 7 did not have alpha channel support! i mean come on microsft jesus christ get with the times ><
I might just go for that 1 hour from 11pm-12am would need to get some good sleep on Monday night and possibly a power nap on Tuesday evening after work

I just realised I need to have a bloodsample taken tomorrow.. Itself is no biggy, its only gonna mean about 15 mins away from the computer... BUT Im not allowed to eat or drink 8 hours before How the hell am I gonna stay awake?!?!?

right.... if I can get to sleep at around 8 tonight and set the alarm for 10:55 that will give me around 2 hours and 40 minutes sleep or thereabout, depending on how fast I can drift off... So I can play at 11 for 4 hours and then go to sleep again for 3 and a half hours in order to get up for 6:30

Your logic almost works, but you will feel like crap the next day because you haven't had your full REM sleep.
I wanted to comment on that but decided I would sound too much of a psycology geek trying to explain you cant sleep "ahead" and that 2*3 hours of sleep aint as good as 6 hours of sleep

I have tried them all and just end up using IE, i really don't see any big differences between them.
I quiet liked chrome for its ability to process each tab on a different thread of your processor but its pretty marginal even with a 4ghz i7.
I use IE at work and so using the same browser everywhere is just easier.

You can change your default search engine in IE to google
I have my homepage set to google. Got so used to that, thanks to how quick google loads even on an old 28.8k modem connection.
Old habbits die hard i guess.

Na, although it feels like it at times. I now have an amazing (not!!) 2mb connection.
If you are browsing sites with lots of java or scripts running, the advantage of muti-threading is noticable, but its rare for me to do that at home.

From what i can work out, the zones will magically unlock at midnight server time and there will be no maintanance downtime.
That means for us in the UK, we get to hit the looking for group button at 11:00pm.
I can see myself hitting the button a lot in the minutes before, going nope not open, nope still not open, na, darn thought it was, ...
