Need some help with a new computer.

Howdy folks.

Im looking around for a new computer and my knowledge on computer parts is kinda average Sticking out tongue

So im wondering if someone could give me some hints on what to get and what too stay away from?
Looking for the best gaming computer i can get for about 800euro.

Here's a big money saver: stay away from masive harddisks. Lots of sellers try to sell you 1-2 TB harddisks, while 500 GB is more than enough. If you really download loads of movies (porn), try an external harddisk.

just had alot to do in rl and a graphic card that is dead.
but i hope to get a new computer this month and get back to some raiding Laughing out loud

Yea a 500g harddisk is more then enough for me Sticking out tongue
Been looking around abit on computers now and just dont know what graphic card i want :s any hints on a good one that dont cost a fortune?

Last summer I got a Sapphire Vapo-X 4870 1GB, and I am quite happy with it. It wasn't top-of-the line, but had good price/performance.

On the other hand, ati and nvidia bring out new stuff every 6mo, and reprice the old stuff, so there might be better choices by now.

Bought a GTS250 some time ago and must say I'm pretty satisfied with it.
Nothing extreme on price but also not the cheapest. Good midrange is sometimes better.
