Quick Fight Notes

  • 2 Tanks switch at 9 stacks of Gastric Bloat to make sure they don't explode
  • Tanks switch to non-threat mode when they have 9 stacks (90% more damage done) - Berserker stance / Blood Presence / Righteous Fury off / Cat Form
  • After each spore the boss casts Inhale Blight and will do 25% more damage. Use defensive cooldowns at 3 stacks of this
  • Ranged Dps spread out around the room - melee behind boss - healers and tanks front of boss
  • Ranged keep 11 yards spread to reduce Vile Gas effects
  • 3 hug spots: 2 ranged spots (flares/warlock teleports) and 1 on the tanks
  • Hug when the Gas Spores are cast and have 1 Spore in each hug spot
  • More than 1 spore in a group results in 1 group dying by the debuff the spore gives, and another group not getting the resistance debuff the spore gives
  • When spores explode, spread out again to your original position
  • When hugged on 3 spores, you should have a debuff which reduces Pungent Blight damage by 90% and you will survive this ability
  • Not having 3 stacks when the blight hits, will result in a death unless a defensive/immune cooldown used

    Brief Tactic

This fight is all about spreading out and hugging on 1 spot on given occasions. When the spores spawn the melee hug on top of the tanks and the ranged Dps hug on the closest of the 2 ranged hug positions. The people with the spores move to a position to make sure there's 1 spore per hug spot. The spore will grant you resistance to a raid wide 50-70k damage later on in the fight. Don't miss a single one or you're not going to survive it. After the spores are gone, you spread out again and wait for the next spores to spawn.

Other than this the fight is pretty simple and is considered a Dps race as there's quite a tight enrage timer. With our current gear this timer shouldn't be a problem though.

    Heroic Ability's

The heroic version of this fight remains the same principe, with less room for error. All abilities do more damage and the boss has more health, leaving a even tighter enrage timer.

The only real difference is Professor Putricide being annoying and throwing Malleable Goo into the room. To counter this, you simply have to move away. It targets a random player and it will land on the position where they stood when it launched. To indicate this position, there will spawn a small slime puddle, like the ones on Putricide but smaller, underneath the targetted player, so move away from the small puddles! So more movement and less time to Dps. The enrage timer will be the most difficult.

    Known Wipe Reasons

  • 2 Spores on 1 hug, resulting in people dying and others not getting the resistance debuff
  • People forget to hug and will not get a resistance debuff and will die later on in the fight
  • People standing too close to eachother and hitting eachother with Vile Gas
