Quick Fight Notes
Phase 1
Phase 2
Brief Tactic
This fight consists of 2 phases. The first phase will consist of the boss standing in her starting position while casting Frostbolts and Shadowbolts. These don't hurt too much and just have to be outhealed. During this phase the boss will have a Mana Shield up. This Mana Shield will drain her mana instead of hurting her health. Once her mana gets to 0%, phase 2 will start. The Dps will focus on killing adds that spawn from the sides of the rooms. Physical attacks hurt Adherents, magic attacks hurt Fanatics. Once the adds are down, focus your attacks on the boss until a new wave of adds appear.
Once the boss reached 0% of her mana, phase 2 starts and you will attack her health directly. Pop heroism and burn her down. Top priority here lies at staying alive. Tanks rotated to make sure none of the tanks get too many stacks of a threat reducing ability. Dps better watch their agro.
Heroic Ability's
The heroic version of this boss is quite nasty, but just takes some time to master. Phase 1 doesn't seems too different than the normal version, apart from boss having more health, more mana, more damage done and adds having more health and damage done. Also, the Mind Control the boss does affects 3 players instead of 1 on normal mode. The main problems lie in phase 2. The waves of adds continue to spawn which have to be killed fast. The boss will be brought to the middle of the room to increase the amount of space to spread out. The spirits that spawn in this phase will explode and do massive damage to anyone around. The way to avoid the adds hitting you is simply moving away. You cannot target the spirits to see who they follow, so you have to spread out and watch which way they are going. Hardest about this heroic version is staying alive in phase 2, not getting overrun by adds and having enough Dps on the boss to not hit the enrage timer.

Lady Deathwhisper is the Second boss we will encounter when we enter ICC.
Ability's
Will be a long list since there are two phases where the boss use different ability's along with 3 different kind of ads who got quite a few ability's of their own. It can feel overwhelming but don't worrie, it's only the second boss in ICC :P

Deathwhisper PTR
Phase 1:
The fight begins with Lady Deathwhisper stationary and inside of a Mana Shield. While in this shield she will not move nor use melee attacks. The raid will want to start with everyone attacking her until the add waves begin to spawn.
Lady Deathwhisper will cast Dominate Mind on random raid members throughout the fight. Crowd Control them as quickly as possible and be sure to avoid AoEing on top of them if they get into the add clump.
The adds spawn on both sides of the room. The Cult Adherents spawn two at a time and must be killed by melee as they are nearly immune to magical damage. They can be Shackled by priests however so that the melee on each side only have to deal with one at a time.
All other add types must be picked up by the add tanks and tanked in the middle of the room. Ranged need to make sure they leave space in the middle free for the tanks and adds. Once the tanks have a decent number of adds in a group in the middle (this number will vary depending on your tanks classes and gear) the ranged (and melee if there are no Adherents alive) will turn and AoE the clump of adds down.
When not doing AoE the ranged should focus on killing the Lady Deathwhisper's Mana Shield. Melee can also help kill the shield if their sides are clear and its not time for AoE.
Throughout the fight Lady Deathwhisper will cast Death and Decay on parts of the room. The spell is green so that it can be easily differentiated from the DK version of the spell. It is important to quickly move out of D&D to minimize damage taken.
Waves of adds will continue to come until the Mana Shield is broken. Specific add abilities can be found in the "Abilities" tab at the top of this guide.
Phase 2:
Once the Mana Shield is broken, Phase 2 begins. Lady Deathwhisper is now free and has reset aggro, a tank must be ready to pick her up immediately. She will now cast a very high damage Frostbolt at her highest aggro target. This spell cannot be resisted but is interruptable. Ranged must be ready to interrupt if the melee/tank are forced to move away due to Death and Decay.
In addition to this Frostbolt, she will cast "Touch of Insignificance" on the current tank, severely reducing their threat output. Tanks should be prepared to swap aggro in order to manage the debuffs and prevent the DPS from becoming threat capped.
During Phase 2, Lady Deathwhisper will also summon Vengeful Spirits which will randomly target and chase a raid member. When they reach melee distance of their target they will explode dealing damage to that target. Multiples of these will spawn at a time and lead to fairly high raid damage and death potential. Raid members will need to be topped off as quickly as possible.
General Tips
Watch out for the Death and Decay "Green Circle of Death". Taking more than a tick of two of damage from this is unnecessary raid damage.
Mages can CC raid members that are Mind Controlled. Priests can CC certain adds
Tank Tips
Some of the adds that you are tanking will cleave. When its time to AoE make sure you are facing all of your mobs the same direction so that any melee that are AoEing can safely do so.
Heal Tips
Top up people do take D&D damage quickly and watch out for the large damage spikes from Vengeful Spirits.
Melee Tips
Keep an eye on your feet in Phase 2 and be quick to move from melee D&D.
Ranged Tips
Mages be ready to sheep raid members who are mind controlled. Priests help out the melee on your side by Shackling the Adherent they are not attacking currently.
Be ready to help interrupt in Phase 2 when melee are forced out of range.

Phase Two Only
•Frostbolt - Inflicts Frost damage to an enemy and reduces its movement speed by 50% for 4 sec. 2 sec cast. Interruptable, but unresistable.
•Touch of Insignificance - Calls an unattackable Vengeful Shade that chases a player for a short time, casting Vengeful Blast upon catching them
•Summon Vengeful Shade - Calls an unattackable Vengeful Shade that chases a player for a short time, casting Vengeful Blast upon catching them.
double spell ? acording to wowhead its :
Touch of Insignificance
Unlimited range
Instant
Reduces the target's threat generation by 20%. (for 30 sec.)
and
Vengeful Blast
Melee Range

i just missed a copy paste on the Touch of Insignificance thanks for pointing that out, main posted edited
the Summon Vengeful Shade is correct however since it's the boss spell to summon this mob called Vengeful shade. Vengeful Blast is the ability of this ad, not an ability of the boss.
