Phase 1

Positioning

Tank Lady Vashj in the middle. Prior to the pull groups 2,3,4,5 will position themselves in their assigned quadrants.
Group 1 will position themselves on the stairs in the South (approx Sector 2)
Group 2 will position themselves on the stairs in the North (approx Sector 5)
Group 3 will position themselves on the stairs in the East (approx Sector 4/3)
Group 4 will position themselves on the stairs in the South (approx Sector 2)
Group 5 will position themselves on the stairs in the West (approx Sector 1)

During the pull (ensure MT goes 1st!) Group 1 will move into a central position on the platform
Groups 2,3,4,5 will move onto the platform, and stay roughly spread within their assigned quadrant.

If possible a shaman should be placed in the MT group to drop Grounding Totem to nullify the stun causing Vashj to run away.

Classes Position Role
Vashj Tank Inner Circle Just tank her!

She can be taunted if necessary. This is a good idea when Entagle is about to be cast.

If Vashj isn't being controled having an offtank might help.

Melee DPS Inner Circle Do some spanking, just remember to move away if Static Charge is cast on you. Rogues can use Cloak of Shadow to remove Static Charge and Entagle. If the tank gets Static Charge (note: is this possible?) all melee should be sure to outrange it.

Note: where should melee move? In theory there should be enough room to stand safely between the melee and ranged, but maybe an open spot in the ranged circle should be created to make sure there are no problems?

Ranged DPS Outer Circle Spread out according to your group and move towards the stairs when you have Static Charge.
Healers Outer Circle There will be some raid damage, but mostly it will be focused on the tank.
Paladins Outer Circle Extra task: make sure to cast Blessing on Freedom on the Tank when they get Entangled, or any Melee who is Entangled AND have Static Charge.

Phase 2

Positioning

Just prior to Phase 2 starting the Elemental Groups should move to their Phase 2 position.
Primary Elemental Killers should position themselves roughly halfway down the stairs, with secondard killers and the healers positioned closer to the top.

Strider group, Tanks, & Elite personel complete the remainder of phase prior to moving as they have more time to spare before they are again needed.

Strider DPS should spread themselves out on the outer rim and 'slow' the strider as soon as it appears. If you are a tailor you should try to bring some Net's to assist the initial capture process. Strider tank is prob best positioned centrally prior to Strider spawn to ensure his 'run' time to intercept the Strider is never to great. Strider Tank should work on threat generation ASAP, while remaining Strider DPS maintain his movement impairing effects and keep their threat on the Strider to a minimum. Strider DPS need to be careful not to pull agro.

The two tanks should position themselves on the outer rim in anticipation of an Elite spawn. One tank position himself at the Sector 5/4 intersection, and the other one position himself at Sector 2 (if we have a pally tank then he should position himself here due to his ranged taunt)

Classes Position Role
Elite Tank Inner circle Pick up and tank any Coilfang Elites. They will normally go towards a healer so be quick to grab their attention. Taunt works!
Elite Killers Inner circle Preferably melee dps. Nuke, nuke, nuke the Coilfang Elite once it is tanked.

If an Elemental slipps through make switch targets and kill it before it reaches Vashj.

Strider Kiter Outer circle 1 kiter, any ranged class will work but Elemental Shaman, Warlock, Hunter, Mage prefered.

Must remove Blessing of Slavation!

Pick up and kite any Coilfang Strider that spawns. Make sure to apply a speed debuff and stay out of melee range.

Strider Slayers Inner circle Shadow priests + 2-3 Mages/Warlocks.

Make sure to DoT and cast any slowing abilities on the Strider.

Elemental Exterminator Stairs 4 primary, and 2 secondary (Hunters, Warlocks prefered)

The 4 primary exterminators will each be assigned a section (as depicted in the overhead diagram above) and have the task of killing any Elementals that spawn in their area. The secondary exterminators will assist the primary exterminators and help clean up any Elementals that slip through the cracks.

When a Tainted Elemental spawns the primary exterminator(s) closest to the spawn point have to drop everything they are doing, find it and kill it. The secondary exterminator responsible for the section in which it spawns should assist in killing it to. The primary Exterminator is responsible for looting the core and passing it to the healer responsible for healing that section, who should now be positioned at the top of the stairs above where the tainted elemental was killed. It is important that the healer does not step down onto the stairs or he will lose LoS to the Secondary Tainted Core Receiver. The core should then be passed to the Secondard Tainted Core Receiver who will then pass onto the Primary Tainted Core Receiver who will shutdown a generator.

So the order in which cores are passed should be...
Primary Exterminator -> Section Healer -> Secondary Core Receiver -> Primary Core Receiver

Everybody should be familiar with the macros documented below to assist in this process.

Healers Inner circle + Stairs The Elemental, Strider, and Elite groups should only take damage from the Forked Lightning so the healing on these groups should be lighter.

The healers assigned to the Elemental groups will position themselves on the outer edge of the Outer Circle/top of the stairs. They will have to remain mobile to ensure their group remains healed. Probably best suited to a Druid.
When the tainted Elemental is killed he must position himself as close to the top of the stairs as possible (directly above the Tainted Elemental spawn point) to receieve the Tainted Core. He is then responsible for passing the core onto the Healer assigned the task of shuting down the generators.

The healer assigned to Naga DPS group should try and position himself on the outer edge of the Outer Circle/top of the stairs, centered on Section 3. Due to the relatively low damage his group should take he should be able to heal the Elemental Killers who are based in Section 3 and on the edge of Sections 2,4.

The healer assigned to the Strider DPS group should track his group and ensure they remained healed. He can also try assiting the healing on the Strider Tank himself.

The Strider Kiter healer will remain in the Inner Circle and focus solely on keeping the Strider Tank alive.

The MT healers will remain in the Inner Circle, and again try to dodge Forked Lightning by moving around.
One of the MT healer's will be assigned the task of terminating the Generators, and should move near one of them when a Tainted Elemental spawns. He will receive the core from the Elementel grp healers.

Tainted Core Macro

/use Tainted core
/y **********Tainted core to: %t!!!!
/s **********Tainted core to: %t!!!!
/script SendChatMessage("YOU HAVE THE CORE", "whisper","Common",UnitName("Target"));

Net macro

/use Netherweave Net
/script SendChatMessage(string.format("Netting %s's Strider!",UnitName("targettarget")),"YELL");
/script SendChatMessage("Netting your Strider!", "whisper","Common",UnitName("TargetTarget"));

In both macro`s you will yell and whisper the person it concernes.

Phase 3

Positioning

Groups will return to their Phase 1 positions. Hunters be sure to position yourselves at the outer edge of the platform.

Classes Position Role
Everyone Similar to phase 1 Back to phase 1 tasks, just remember to move out of spore clouds.
Hunters Outer Circle New task: target and kill Toxic Spore Bats.
