Quick Fight Notes

  • Spread out left and right of the boss in melee range
  • When boss turns your way to use Slime Spray, walk through the boss and move behind him. After breath you move back.
  • When you get Mutated Infection you move to the offtank on the outside of the room. Move to the ooze following the OT and wait to be dispelled.
  • Move back to the boss when the small ooze stops following you
  • When a big ooze gets 5 small oozes to absorb, it will start a 3 second cast. After the cast, everyone moves out of the boss and spreads out. When the oozes have landed you can move back
  • Offtanks try to avoid slime puddles on the floor. It doesn't kill you, but be aware of it
  • Offtanks keep the big ooze away from the center
  • Offtanks never get close to the ooze and use ranged abilities to gain threat
  • Maintank never has to move and can stand still


    Brief Tactic


    This whole fight is about add control. When a person gets infected by the Mutated Infection they have to move out of the boss to the offtank who will pick the ooze up once it merges with other oozes. Small oozes (which spawn from the infected person) will only attack the infected person. This person has to kite the ooze to any small oozes close to the offtank or let it merge with the big ooze. Just stand close to the ooze to merge it. Once it has merged you can move back to the boss and continue dps/heal. After a big ooze merged with 5 small oozes, it will start a 3 second cast time on an explosion ability. The big ooze explodes and will cause a rain of small oozes to land on a location of a person. Everyone should wait for the cast to finish, move away, wait a few seconds for the rain to land, and move back to the boss. The Mutated Infection will be casted faster and faster, making it a soft enrage ability.


    Heroic Ability's


    Heroic mode adds Vile Gas to this enounter (the one you find on Festergut). To counter this from hitting the whole raid, you need Ranged Dps to stand on a distance, spreading out atleast 11 yards. Other than this, the Mutated Infection reduces healing by 75% instead of 50% and will do more damage. Good timed and fast dispells are needed and extra heals to keep the affected persons alive. Other than this the only differences are more health on the boss and more damage done by most abilities.


    Known Wipe Reasons

  • People panicing when they have small oozes on them, run to the offtank and let it merge with others
  • People moving back too soon when they're at the offtank. Make sure it despawns before you move back
  • People don't move or move too early on the explosion. Make sure you move after the cast has finished, but not too late
  • Offtank getting hit by the big ooze. Never let it catch you

  • Slime Spray - Deals Nature to enemies in cone. 1.5 sec cast
  • Ooze Flood - Inflicts damage every 1.0 sec and reduces move speed by 25% for 5 sec. Instant
  • Mutated Infection - Inflicts damage every 1.0 sec and reduces healing received by 50% for 12 sec. After the Infection is removed a small ooze is created at the target's location. Unlimited range. Instant

    Ability's Sticky Ooze

    The Sticky Oozes spawn each time Mutated Infection expires or is dispelled on a player.

  • Sticky Ooze - The Ooze sprays a puddle of Green Goo near the target. The Green Goo inflicts damage every 1.0 sec and decreases move speed by 50%. Unlimited range. 1 sec cast
  • Weak Radiating Ooze - Inflicts damage to enemies within 10 yards, it will also cause the Little Ooze to merge with other nearby Ooze. Melee range. Instant

    Ability's Big Ooze

    The Big Ooze spawns when 2 Stick Ooze merge, another Sticky Ooze can merge with the Big Ooze to add a stack of Unstable Ooze. When the Big Ooze reaches 5 stacks of Unstable Ooze it will explode. Two Big Oozes can also merge to combine their stacks.

  • Unstable Ooze - Increases damage dealt by 20%. Unlimited range. Instant
  • Sticky Ooze - The Ooze sprays a puddle of Green Goo near the target. The Green Goo inflicts damage every 1.0 sec and decreases move speed by 50%. Unlimited range. 1 sec cast
  • Radiating Ooze - Inflicts damage to enemies within 10 yards. Unlimited range. Instant
  • Unstable Ooze Explosion - Inflicts damage to enemies within 6 yards. 4 sec cast
